Physics 12

WELCOME STUDENTS! ;)
This course, a continuation of Grade 11 Physics (SPH3U1), enables students to deepen their understanding of the concepts of physics. Students will further explore the laws of dynamics and energy transformations, and will investigate electrical, gravitational and magnetic fields; electromagnetic radiation; and the interface between energy and matter. They will further develop inquiry skills for learning, for example, how the interpretation of experimental data can provide evidence to support a scientific model. The course will emphasize problem-solving. The course also provides a good foundation for further studies in physics at the university and college levels. A good foundation in mathematics is essential for this course. Grade 11 Physics and Grade 11 Mathematics are prerequisites, and Grade 12 Mathematics courses are helpful.

Students are strongly encouraged to do a minimum 1 hour of homework every day.
